Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny

I haven't said a word about this film but I must say this movie looks funny as hell. I've been a huge fan of Jack Black for quite some time and when he joined up with Kyle Gass to form Tenacious D I loved every minute of the CD. Long story short, watch the hillarious little trailer below and go see the movie on November 17th.

The Goon Chinatown Story Is Coming!

We have been teased with the Chinatown story for ages now by Eric Powell. Just yesterday it was finally revealed that the graphic novel is finally under development. Awhile back I mentioned the upcoming Dwight T. Albatross Presents The Goon Noir series with guest writers and artists. Well it turns out that is all part of the plan to give Powell time to write and draw the Chinatown story.

Eric Powell commented on the novel, "The Chinatown story is the pivotal event in the Goon's history and I think it's gonna change the way a lot of readers see him."

Right now the book is scheduled to be released sometime next year. Not sure when but as soon as I find out you can bet I'll be posting up the solicitation.

Cable & Deadpool #32

This is actually my first "comic" post but if you pay attention to the filmmakers I have talked about and the sense of humor I have. This is no shock. My all time favorite "hero" has to be Deadpool. I use to have a HUGE collection of Deadpool stuff but I slowly sold off some of the rarer appearances for some money that was much needed.

Anyway this entire post is about the upcoming issue of Cable & Deadpool #32. Here is the solicitation for it:

It will be on shelves on September 27. The cover art that isn't so great is below.. But hey it is Deadpool.

Rick Hoyt's Love For His Son

Every once and a great while I run across a story that is truly heart warming. It really makes you feel that there is people out there that really care and are making a difference in peoples lives. Rick Hoyt is one of those people.

Twenty years ago he ran a 5K race while pushing his disabled son in a wheelchair. His son later told him that while racing he didn't feel disabled. Since than Rick and his son have competed in over a hundred triathlons and marathons together. Below you can see a sort of a tribute video of father and son in one of their races..

How Many Japanese Does it Take to Tear Down a House?

Apparently it takes six Japanese Wrestlers. I've gotta say this is one of the funnier videos I have seen online in awhile. Its not really laugh out loud funny, than it is just absurd. The magic of Japanese Television.
